The Worm Factory is a three-tiered system that separates the worms from the useable organic compost material. The Worm Factory is easy to set up and easy to use, the worms do all the work! Your scraps and worms go into the bottom tray, and as the worms digest, they migrate upward into the tray above, leaving rich worm castings behind. The concentrated liquid created from the worm castings, also known as worm tea, can be effortlessly drained as liquid fertilizer from the spigot at the bottom of composter. The lid also provides proper ventilation so there are no unpleasant odors. Because it's clean, mess free, and odor free, composting with The Worm Factory makes it possible to be placed indoors or outdoors for home owners and apartment dwellers alike.
In full operation, the Worm Factory houses 10,000 to 12,000 worms which consume 5 to 8 pounds of food a week, allowing you to harvest a full tray of nutrient rich castings every month.
