Pacific Rim Woodworking furniture is made of Pacific Coast Maple grown in managed forests in Washington and Oregon and built entirely in Eugene, Oregon. Each piece is hand-rubbed with a finish of tung oil and pure beeswax to highlight the natural beauty of this distinctive hardwood. All beds are guaranteed to be free of defects in both material and workmanship, 100% guaranteed. The platform version supports futon, foam or innerspring mattress. The rails on box spring beds are attached at a lower position on the posts and the support comes from four slats. The platform is 14 1/2 inches off the ground. All beds are crafted Maplewood Furniture by Pacific Rim. They are free of toxic glues, formaldehyde and particle board and considered environmentally safe for your children's bedroom and nursery. Completely untreated and natural pieces are also available from Pacific Rim. We recommend you ask for completely unfinished and untreated Maple Wood if you have any environmental allergies or sensitivities. Just call us at 877-282-6400 and we'll arrange it. Takes 6-8 weeks to make by hand from the time of your order. Adult signature required upon delivery. You will need to be there to examine your bed when it arrives to confirm that it is free of defects; otherwise if you accept delivery and still wish to return it, there is a 25% restocking fee for returns, as this is a handmade item. 10% cancellation fee once order has been placed and work on your bed is underway. Just for the Arts & Crafts beds, the spindles on the footboard are 5 inches longer than on the Standard version. The legs are the same height. The Boxspring version is lower, or closer to the floor, by 3 inches. You can't fit the drawers under the Boxspring version.
