Green Home, Inc. Launches Green Living Magazine for Earth Day
San Francisco, CA.-April 22, 2002 -- Green Home Inc., (www.greenhome.com) the premier resource for environmentally preferable products and services on the Internet, today announced the launch of Living Green, a Web magazine featuring the latest information on how to go green. Each issue explores an aspect of everyday living and how to approach it with a more environmentally responsible sensibility.
Every issue also features the Green Home Salon, a forum for thoughtful, in-depth discussion of topical environmental issues. In each Salon, Green Home interviews leading experts in the field, sparking a spirited, interactive discussion. Each salon then takes on a life of its own, spawning new directions for discussion based on the live, online conversation

In addition each issue will feature three permanent departments: Less Is More (how to use less), Green Means Clean (how to avoid toxins in what you do use), and Just Say Know (information to bolster mindful decision-making). Each section will feature detailed articles written by leading authors and experts in the areas of healthy living and environmentalism.
Research has shown that over 61% of consumers express a preference for environmentally friendly, or "green", products -- those that are less toxic, save energy, or conserve resources. Often, these products work better than their mainstream equivalents, but there are few resources to guide the consumer to them.
The Green Home Web site is a virtual environmental superstore, featuring more than a thousand products across 150 categories and green services too. "People are shocked to learn that virtually every consumer product on the market today has an environmentally preferable alternative," says Lawrence Comras, President and Founder.
Green Home screens products through a proprietary product approval process, aggregating existing certification seals in combination with an in-house advisory board. Board members include leaders from the environmental community, scientists, and green marketing experts.
