A product's lifecycle begins with its inception and production. What are the ingredients and how are they acquired? How is it manufactured, packaged, and shipped? Once the product is purchased, it has impacts in its usage. Is it toxic to personal health or the environment? Does is it help to conserve resources? The final stage in the lifecycle is disposal. Can the product or its packaging be reused or recycled? What are the long term effects of its disposal on the environment?
